NCO 'Wild' about 20-year football career

Staff Sgt. Earl Mason isn’t just another Airman at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. In his off-duty hours, he fills in as the quarterback for the Alaska Wild, an indoor professional football team.

Sergeant Mason has been playing football for the past 20 years and is pictured above playing in a game against the Bloomington Extreme May 4 in Anchorage. He's gone from pee-wee football to high school to college to semi-pro to his current position with the Alaska Wild.

You'll find Sergeant Mason most days at the 3rd Civil Engineer Squadron where he is the NCOIC for emergency management of logistics.
